Black Camel Pictures is an energetic Scottish production company run by BAFTA winning producers Arabella Page-Croft and Kieran Parker in partnership with director Steve Barker. The company has an active slate of commercial projects in development (supported by Creative Scotland) and several films currently in various stages of production.
The company are in post-production with OUTPOST: BLACK SUN, the sequel to their successful 2008 action horror OUTPOST. Content Media Group handle all international sales. The original film OUTPOST was acquired by Sony Pictures (SPWAG) in a multi-territory deal and sold out worldwide.
In 2009 Black Camel produced LEGACY, a New York set psychological thriller starring Idris Elba (Luther, Thor) and Clarke Peters (Treme, The Wire), which was acquired by Codeblack Entertainment for US theatrical distribution and Revolver in the UK. The film won the Grand Jury Prize for Best Film at the American Black Film Festival and was nominated for the Raindance Award at The British Independent Film Awards (BIFAs). LEGACY was selected as The Closing Gala Film at the Glasgow Film Festival 2010. Following that, it was also selected for the Tribeca Film Festival in New York and The Little Rock Film Festival.
